Meet Our Staff

Sara Cook - Director

Sara Cook, School for Little Children Director, began her association with the school in 1983 when her oldest child was a student. By 1987 she had become a member of the school’s governing board and in 1988 became the Bookkeeper. She continued in this role until 1993 when the positions of Bookkeeper and Office Manager were combined into Administrative Coordinator. In 2004 she became the Director.

Mrs. Cook approaches her work with a belief in the importance of early childhood education and a dedication to the quality educational experience provided at The School for Little Children. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas in 1976 and her CPA license in 1978. Her business and management experience come from three years of audit experience with one of the major accounting firms.

She has maintained an interest in community involvement as an assistant Girl Scout leader and cookie mom, various administrative offices including president of an elementary PTO and a member of an elementary school parent/teacher shared decision making committee.

Sara received her Director’s Certificate from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in 2005. Mrs. Cook, with the hard work and dedication of the entire school staff, strives to provide a loving and stimulating learning environment for the children at The School for Little Children.
